                                                Village Field Survey

                                                All the fields in the combined villages have been examined, and an assesment of possible historical / archaeological features made.

                                                The results in graphical form are below:


                                                 

                                                This unsurprisingly further illustrates the view that:

                                                1. The villages were historically located further South East that today.

                                                2. Evidence for much historical activity has been removed by modern ploughing methods

                                                3. Much more investigation is needed to achieve a fuller and more accurate understanding
